Our Story

Tim Unity began in 2015 as a visionary partnership between Dr. F.A. Dosumu and Dr. A.M. Fasawe, two medical professionals driven by a shared passion to bridge the gap between quality healthcare and affordability. Recognizing the growing need for a healthcare system that caters to both clinical excellence and economic accessibility, they set out to build a facility that would meet the evolving needs of their community.

On the 2nd of March, 2016, Tim Unity Specialist Hospital and Eye Clinic was officially registered, marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to delivering comprehensive healthcare services at minimal cost. From its humble beginnings, the hospital has steadily evolved into a reputable healthcare institution known for its patient-centered approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Our Growth and Impact

Since its inception, Tim Unity has experienced consistent growth, both in capacity and in the scope of services offered. The hospital has established itself as a reliable healthcare provider for a strong middle-class population, including partnerships with several banks and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). This has enabled the institution to expand its reach and provide structured, affordable healthcare solutions to a broader demographic.

Beyond its current achievements, Tim Unity remains focused on the future. A core part of our vision is to extend quality healthcare services to underserved communities, particularly at the grassroots level where access to medical care is often limited. In line with this commitment, at least 20% of our services are dedicated to pro bono care and the continuous support of medical outreaches throughout the year, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the attention and treatment they need. Through these efforts, the hospital remains steadfast in its mission to improve public health outcomes across the region.

MEDICAL DIRECTORS

Dr. Fehintolu Dosumu

Dr. Fehintolu Adeoluwa Dosumu is a dedicated medical practitioner with extensive experience in both medical and surgical care. He graduated in 2008 and completed his housemanship at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida, where he gained broad clinical exposure across key areas of medicine.

He proceeded to fulfill his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and subsequently worked with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) for about a year, gaining valuable experience in diverse and challenging healthcare settings. This exposure strengthened his clinical skills and prepared him for effective private medical practice.

Driven by a shared vision for accessible and quality healthcare, Dr. Dosumu partnered with Dr. A.M. Fasawe to establish Tim Unity Specialist Hospital and Eye Clinic. Today, he plays a key role in the hospital’s growth, contributing to its reputation as a trusted multispecialty center providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Dr. Ayodele Fasawe

Dr. Ayodele Moninuola Fasawe is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with over two decades of expertise in eye care and clinical practice. She graduated from medical school approximately 27 years ago and went on to complete her residency training, becoming a certified Consultant Ophthalmologist about 20 years ago.

She built a distinguished career within the civil service, where she practiced extensively and gained significant experience in ophthalmology and patient care. In 2008, driven by a passion to expand access to quality eye care, she established a private eye clinic, marking the beginning of her journey in private healthcare practice.

In 2015, Dr. Fasawe partnered with Dr. F.A. Dosumu to establish Tim Unity Specialist Hospital and Eye Clinic, with the goal of providing comprehensive and affordable healthcare services. Under her leadership, the practice has steadily grown in both patient base and scope of services, becoming a trusted provider of multidisciplinary healthcare in the community.
